Entrepreneurial Development

Entrepreneurs and small businesses lead job creation in local communities across America. These pioneers are often ideally positioned to commercialize new technologies that develop a region’s core industry clusters and enhance the global competitiveness of the community. Local communities can support entrepreneurs through a range of services and programs designed to spur entrepreneurial activity.

Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) and its affiliate organizations are developing and managing innovative programs for entrepreneurial development.

Regional Hydrogen Coalition
CTC is currently assisting in the formation and management of a public-private coalition related to the development of a regional hydrogen economy. The project leverage’s CTC’s expertise in fuel cells, collaboration-building, research and strategic planning to develop initiatives that promote the commercialization of hydrogen production, storage and distribution technologies by the region’s research institutions and business entrepreneurs.

STAR Technology Enterprise Center
Through CTC Tampa Bay, Inc., a CTC affiliate, we manage the STAR Technology Enterprise Center, Tampa Bay’s first technology and manufacturing business accelerator. Housed at a former Department of Energy facility, the center supports the growth of early stage manufacturing and technology-based companies, enabling them to rapidly and effectively migrate their products and services to market.

Entrepreneur Tool Kit
Through CTC Public Benefit Corporation (PBC), another CTC affiliate, we are assisting local community and technical colleges across the country develop entrepreneur programs that build on national best practice models. With funding from the U.S. Department of Education, CTC PBC in partnership with Regional Technology Strategies (RTS) recently completed the Entrepreneur Tool Kit comprised of entrepreneurial case studies and training tools designed for application at community and technical colleges.
