Former Bush Recycling Property
The former Bush Recycling property is the primary focus of the City of Florence's Brownfields Assessment Project. The City conducted a Phase I environmental site assessment on the property in November 2003 and purchased the property after signing a Voluntary Cleanup Contract with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) in March 2004. The Brownfields Assessment Project will conduct a Phase II environmental site assessment and engage the community in redevelopment planning through September 2005.
