What is a Brownfield?
Brownfields are abandoned or underutilized properties where redevelopment is hindered by real or perceived environmental contamination.
Putting these properties back into productive use stimulates economic development while protecting the environment.

You can support the City’s initiative by learning about the project, keeping informed about the latest project news, attending
public meetings, and identifying brownfield sites in your area. The City will use feedback received from the community in selecting sites for assessment
activity and preparing redevelopment plans.
