City of Laurens EPA Brownfields Assessment Demonstration Pilot Project
Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

The City of Laurens received a Brownfields Assessment Demonstration Pilot Project grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote redevelopment of abandoned or under-used industrial or commercial sites (brownfields) within the City of Laurens where redevelopment may be limited by real or perceived environmental contamination. The grant is being administered by the City of Laurens and overseen by EPA Region 4. Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is working under the direction of the City and is coordinating project activities.

Professional services are being sought from qualified and experienced consultants or subcontractors to conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. Follow up to Phase II Environmental Site Assessments may also involve risk assessments, remediation planning based on risk-based corrective action, and the use of alternative assessment and treatment technologies.
